- Berlin-based manufacturer of high-tech simulators shifts focus to solutions for emergency services, transport, defense, and motorsport.
- Europe’s leading provider of driver training systems incorporates simulators into its digital training platform SYNPLI
[Berlin/Öhringen, April 3, 2025] – “This acquisition is a major step toward the holistic, digital driving school of the future,” says Jann Hendrik Swyter, Managing Director of the traditional Swabian company Veigel, commenting on the acquisition of the driving simulator division of SIFAT Road Safety. The Berlin-based developer and manufacturer of high-tech driving simulators is transferring this division to driving school specialist Veigel as of April 1, 2025.
“We will focus on the continued development of our simulator-based training solutions for the emergency services, transport, defense, and motorsport sectors,” explains SIFAT CEO Alexander Orlandea. “We’re pleased that Veigel will make our driving simulators an integral part of its SYNPLI digital training platform.”
SYNPLI is a digital training platform developed by Veigel specifically for driving schools. “The seamless integration of the driving simulators into SYNPLI is a logical extension of our offering,” says Swyter. “The simulator is no longer seen as an isolated training device, but as part of a closed learning cycle that intelligently connects theory, practice, and AI-supported learning assessments.”
Fast, Safe, and Fun Path to a Driver’s License
With SYNPLI, learner drivers receive an app that accompanies them throughout their entire training journey, reduces anxiety, and improves training efficiency. “Through personalized simulations, each student can train exactly what helps them reach their goal faster—obtaining their license safely and efficiently. Not everyone needs the same number of lessons, but the right ones for them.”
Continued Collaboration After the Acquisition
Following the acquisition of the driving simulator division, SIFAT and Veigel intend to continue their partnership. Swyter states: “We plan to jointly develop innovative solutions to train the next generation of drivers better, more safely, and more efficiently.”

About SIFAT Roadsafety
SIFAT Roadsafety GmbH develops and builds professional-grade driving simulators for use by freight companies, in-house fleets, police, fire departments, emergency services, and defense organizations, as well as for professional motorsports. Training with SIFAT simulators complements the practical education and further training of professional drivers in an efficient and eco-friendly way, and is valued even by seasoned professionals.
Different simulator configurations allow for training in original driver cabins from Mercedes-Benz, MAN, or Scania, the cockpit of an emergency vehicle, or a race car. The primary focus is always on delivering a realistic driving experience. All simulators operate with a motion platform that allows drivers to physically experience how the vehicle behaves, for example in turns. The training sessions are highly efficient because they do not require actual driving or fuel consumption. Furthermore, training units can be customized to specifically practice real-life situations relevant to each driver’s daily work.
