The conformity test is the responsibility of the manufacturer and covers three main areas: EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) radio requirements and safety requirements.
In the case of non-compliance, fines of up to €100,000 and an immediate sales stop can be imposed by a supervisory body, which is fully liable not only to the manufacturer but also to the distributor.
