Red Dot Award 2019 - JIMMY

Our JIMMY was awarded the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2019. The Jimmy is an effective, independent design solution for an everyday problem. The appearance perfectly matches the interior of present day vehicles.

Automotive Brand Contest 2014 - Best of Best

In English-speaking countries, persons with disabilities are often referred to as „people with special needs“, a term expressing respect of the difference without any judgment. In vehicles too, aids for the physically impaired should not look like crutches or makeshift devices but match the overall appearance of the vehicle. Thus, designers face a unique challenge: compact multi-functionality and safety must be combined with high aesthetic standards and cross-market styling. Veigel Compact II is a huge success in this regard.

Red Dot Design Award 2013 for Veigel HB Classic II hand control

The Red Dot is the prize for high design quality awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein-Westfalen. The international jury awards this prestigious quality label only to manufacturers who distinguish themselves significantly from comparable designs through their excellent concept. The red dot identifying outstanding design is largely recognized. We are pleased that our VEIGEL Classic II hand control was able to meet the high standards.

iF Design Award 2002

Since 1954, the iF International Forum Design GmbH based in Hannover has been honoring designers with the „iF DESIGN AWARD“. The design of the Classic hand control matches the interior equipment of modern passenger cars. The full cover protects against injuries, while the grip of the hand control and the steering knob are ergonomically optimized and fit securely in the hand. These characteristics combined with the appealing aesthetics also convinced the iF Design Awards jury and propelled the predecessor of the VEIGEL Classic II onto the winner’s podium as soon as in 2002.

International Design Award 2002

The Design Center Stuttgart (now Design Center Baden-Württemberg) is one of the oldest institutions of its kind in the Federal Republic of Germany and the only state-run design center in the country. The award honors manufacturers and designers of future-oriented, professionally outstanding projects and design achievements. According to the jury, the elegant design of the VEIGEL hand control perfectly fits into the high-tech world of the automotive industry and has no hint of a mobility product. It does not constitute an alien element within the high-tech assistive technology; it is neutral and may therefore be installed in different types of vehicles.

Reha Care Design Award

REHACARE International is a trade fair on rehabilitation, prevention, inclusion and care. For more than 30 years, it has been offering an extensive overview over aids and services necessary to those affected by disabilities, age-related impairments and chronic diseases. In co-operation with red dot projects, the REHACARE DESIGN AWARD for design-oriented innovations was first introduced at the „REHACARE INTERNATIONAL“ trade fair in Düsseldorf, in 2008. The jury’s verdict: thanks to its restrained design, the integrated remote control (Veigel Commander) for drivers with disabilities harmoniously matches the interior of modern vehicles.

World market leader

The district of Hohenlohe in Baden-Württemberg is the most economically successful region of Germany. Nowhere else can such an important concentration of global market leaders be found. Veigel is one of them.

As an exclusivity for the book project „Lexikon der deutschen Weltmarktführer“ (Compendium of German Global Market Leaders), the famous porcelain manufactory MEISSEN designed and produced a porcelain wing. This award is reserved exclusively to the companies listed in the compendium and was presented individually to the executives of the global market leaders by editor and co-publisher Dr. Florian Langenscheidt during the book launch on January 24, 2011 in Schwäbisch Hall.

In addition to our headquarters in Öhringen where we provide advisory, installation and sales services, we offer an extensive network of partners in Germany, Europe, Northern America and other parts of the world.
