Since 12. 06. 2017 the “RED 2014\/53\/EU”; directive is mandatory for all electrical and electronic equipment equipped with a radio receiver and\/or radio transmitter and placed on the market in an EU28\/EFTA country (+Turkey) in addition to the EMC test.<\/p>\n

The conformity test is the responsibility of the manufacturer and covers three main areas: EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) radio requirements and safety requirements.<\/p>\n

In the case of non-compliance, fines of up to \u20ac100,000 and an immediate sales stop can be imposed by a supervisory body, which is fully liable not only to the manufacturer but also to the distributor.<\/p>\n
